William Biggerstaff Cousin

Note: A check of 1860 Marion Co., OH Census records shows two men this individual could very plausibly be, and there is enough ambiguity in the apparent age of the subject and the date of the photo (5 or so years on each), that I could not call it conclusively. I favor the first individual, because in our estimate the subject here is still in his teens and the photo likely dates from after the Civil War to about 1868 or 1869. A case could be made for the other individual, however.

1860 Census - Pleasant, Marion Co., OH: William B. Biggerstaff, b. c. 1850, son of "farmer" Samuel Biggerstaff and wife and Mary A., with siblings of Nancy V. and Anna D. Biggerstaff.

1860 Census - Prospect, Marion Co., OH: "Farmer" William Biggerstaff, b. c. 1831, and wife Semantha, with young children Franklin C. P., Albert L. D., and Susan A. Biggerstaff; and with "driver" Isaac Biggerstaff, age 22 also living in the household.
