Dan Huffman Cousin
Note: Other photos found with this one suggest that he may have been the son of a Jonathan Huffman. Found an 1850 Census record in Pleasant, Marion Co., OH that may be his. If it is, it would indicate that his parents relocated their family from PA to OH right around 1841: Daniel Huffman, age 10, born in OH; son of Jonathan Huffman, "farmer," age 40, born in PA; and mother Mary Huffman, age 35, born in PA; and siblings Prudence, age 16, born in PA; Elizabeth, age 14, born in PA; John, age 12, born in PA; Margaret, age 7, born in OH; and Jonathan, age 4, born in OH. A later record from 1880 Census shows this Daniel in Pleasant, Marion Co., OH, engaged in farming, living adjacent to his parents' farm, married to wife Martha, and with three young children - Albert, Addie, and Minnie. Later records from 1900 Census and 1910 Census in Green Camp, Marion Co. show Daniel and Martha still in their old age and Daniel as a "retired farmer." In 1910 their widowed daughter Minnie Myres and granddaughter Laverne are living with them. I could not find records for 1860 and 1870,
